After exploring a second luxury mansion — one that surprisingly used to belong to one of Franklin’s ex-girlfriends — Franklin takes a moment to reflect on life, business, and the importance of respecting people regardless of their background. But while Franklin is distracted by mansions and memories, his young son Malcolm is about to face a life-changing lesson of his own.

Back at the house, Malcolm hangs out with his brother William. Instead of just watching cartoons or YouTube, Malcolm decides to do something bold: he secretly calls his crush, Tiana. With Franklin out of the house, Malcolm is convinced he has the perfect chance to ask her to hang out, play games, and race RC cars. His excitement and innocence show that, even at seven years old, love feels real.

But the conversation doesn’t go the way he expected. Tiana reminds Malcolm that her birthday is coming up — a detail he completely forgot. Flustered, he stumbles through an apology, only to get hit with news that breaks his little heart: Tiana says she doesn’t like him anymore. She admits she now has feelings for Raj, a classmate whose father is a wealthy doctor. Raj promised her gifts and even a futuristic car when he’s older.
